Az Internet az elmúlt 25 évben példa nélküli módon fejlődött, néhány tudós új típusú kommunikációs eszközéből a gazdasági növekedés emberek milliárdjainak életét befolyásoló világméretű hajtóerejévé vált. Az Internet korunk legjelentősebb kritikus információs infrastruktúrájává vált. Néhány, az 1970-es évekből származó tervezési döntés következményei jelentősen korlátozzák továbbfejlesztését. Egyre többen mondják, hogy itt az ideje az Internet újragondolásának. A 2000-es évek elején számos új kutatási program indult, a jövő Internet kutatások jelentős szerepet játszanak az EU 7. Kutatási Keretprogramjában és 2009-ben körvonalazódott a Magyar Jövő Internet Kutatási Program is. Jelen előadás célja a jövő Internet kutatások alapvető eseményeinek, irányainak bemutatása és egy kapcsolódó védelmi/katonai kutatási program kereteinek felvázolása.

The Internet has developed at an unprecedented speed over the last 25 years. From a new way of communication between a numbers of scientists it became a worldwide driver of economic growth for billions of people. Internet became the most important critical information infrastructure of our world. Consequences of some design decisions inherited from the 1970s seriously limit its development, so more and more say, that it is time to rethink the Internet. In the early 2000s a lot of new research programs started, and Future Internet programs play an important role in the EU 7th Framework Program. In 2009 a Hungarian Research Program for the Future Internet has also been outlined. The aim of this presentation is to summarize the main events, and directions of Future Internet researches, and to outline the frameworks of a related defence/military research program.
